All Blacks 22 Ireland 3
The first half was really close despite the ABs having the lion’s share of possession. I thought the Irish might be able to hold the score line close until the end and then steal it with a cheeky bit of magic from Brian O’Driscoll, but I’m pleased to say that didn’t happen.
I’m looking forward to the 30th anniversary of New Zealand’s only defeat in Ireland to Munster later this week (on the 18th, I think). I wonder what sort of team they’ll field given they have an international against Wales next week-end. It would be unwise to field a second-tier team against Wales, but a second-tier side against Munster may lead to a repeat of the ignominy! (Munster beat the ABs 12-0)
