Well, the new brewery is almost installed. It would have been finished on Friday, but the electrician installing the control panel wasn’t able to get the parts. It should be fitted on tomorrow however.
A few photos of the installation wouldn’t be amiss, I think.
We’re not quite ready to brew yet as we have to give it all a proper scrubbing inside to remove all the grit and grime of manufacture and to make things sanitary for the beer. But the first batch should be in the fermenter before the end of the week. I’ll also have to get started on recipe construction for the range of beers we’d like to produce. At the moment, the biggest gap in the offering is a missing US-style pale ale. Long term I’d also like to brew a dark toffee and fruity tasting mild or brown ale and, of course, a stout.
